Photo Walk is September 1

Join with fellow photographers on September 1 at 7 p.m. for a Photo Walk at Fernandina Plaza Historic State Park. Photograph boats, birds, old houses, the marsh and the sunset at the original town of Fernandina Historic Site, also known as “Old Town”. In 1811, the town of Fernandina was platted according to the Spanish Law of the Indies, which prescribed how the site for a Spanish settlement should be selected, and how the town should be laid out in classical grid form. This law also stated that there must be a means of fortification to protect the town and a centrally located plaza for use by all residents. Fort San Carlos was built to fulfill this need. Dinner at OPS Pizza Kitchen & Café after walk. For more information visit (2) Photo Walk Old Town Fernandina At Sunset | Facebook
