The lighting of a 40-foot Christmas tree decorated with thousands of sparkling lights kicks off the festive season at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island. Ticket purchase is required for entry with a ten-dollar donation for ages 10 and older. 100% of the proceeds will be shared with Boys & Girls Club of Nassau County, The St. Mary’s Riverkeeper, Micah’s Place and The Amelia Island Sea Turtle Watch.
The McArthur YMCA will hold their annual “12 Gifts of Christmas” raffle at the lighting. This spirited program will feature special guest, electric violinist Emily Simone from the Amelia Island Music Chamber, music by Journey Church Choral group, dance by Royal Amelia Dance Academy and soloist, Sean Watkins. Bruce Hamilton, anchor of WJXT Morning Show is Master of Ceremonies.
Enjoy fresh baked cookies and cider. Festivities conclude with the arrival of Santa and a spectacular fireworks show. Complimentary shuttle rides will be available from Peters Point.
