On Saturday, June 18, come celebrate Juneteenth as a commemoration of the ending of slavery and as a celebration of African-American culture and achievements. This is a family friendly, community celebration committed to encourage improved community interactions, educate, and bring a sense of pride to the community as a whole. The event will include activities for children, contests, family tents (must register online), food trucks, informational booths, and a vendor market.
Juneteenth Jump-Off will be held at the Peck/Charles Eugene Richo Field, 516 South 10th Street, from noon to 7 p.m. This is a non-alcoholic event. For more information call Tiffany at (904) 557-0170.
