Friday with Friends Event at Mocama Beer Company

Have you ever wondered about the origin of the name Mocama? Are you interested in learning more about the Timucuan Indians that inhabited the coastal regions of Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia? All while enjoying some of the island’s best beer?

On March 25, Dr. Keith Ashley, assistant professor of archaeology at UNF, who has been leading archaeological field schools on Big Talbot Island State Park for many years will share his findings and the rich Timucuan history they represent. Join him from 5 – 7 p.m. for a limited admittance event at the premier beer company Mocama, 629 S. 8th Street, Fernandina. Pre-Register at talbotislands.com for a suggested donation of $10.
