Elegance under the Oaks

A welcoming place to gather with family and friends, The Golf Club of Amelia Island offers golf, tennis, a beach club, and outstanding cuisine, plus this month’s Fall Festival.

The Golf Club of Amelia Island is a place to enjoy all that makes Amelia Island special, with golf, tennis, a private beach club, a number of excellent dining options, and an active social calendar. Surrounded by ancient oaks and overlooking an award-winning golf course, it’s also one of the most beautiful and elegant venues for weddings in the area. Located adjacent to The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island, members and guests can take advantage of all the resort property has to offer, and more.

“The Clubhouse Dining Room offers a tempting choice of our members’ favorite dishes,” says Sheridan Regan, Director of Catering Sales. “Members love our weekly dinners and Tuesday Happy Hours. And the Legends Lounge, open every day, offers cocktail service and a welcoming place to relax after golf or tennis. Membership includes discounts at the exquisite restaurants of our neighbor, The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island, as well.”
During the Covid-19 pandemic, interest in everything outdoors soared, including golf and tennis. The course at The Golf Club of Amelia Island, designed by PGA-Tour veterans Mark McCumber and Gene Littler, is rich in natural wonders and pure golfing pleasure, enticing veteran golfers and new golfers who want to learn the game. The 18-hole championship course offers many challenges, yet is forgiving enough to enjoy your round, no matter what your skill level. Their professional Golf Academy and fully stocked pro shop help make playing a pleasure, offering clinics, lessons, and summer golf camps for all ages.

Executive Chef Dennis Rodriguez came on board at The Golf Club of Amelia Island in May, offering creative and delicious fare to their already popular Dining Room, Legends Lounge, and Beach Club Snack Bar. For special events like weddings and rehearsal dinners, Chef Rodriguez can design custom menus to suit every palate.
The event space at The Golf Club of Amelia Island awaits guests hidden behind rows of fresh landscaping and tall shade trees. A special place to host catered events of all sizes including weddings, rehearsal dinners, meetings, fundraisers, and more, the venue is a flexible space both indoors and out. Regan and her professional team believe that special events should energize, delight, and intrigue their guests, providing the perfect ambiance for excellent conversation and connection.

“Choose between the sparkling waters of the Atlantic Ocean as your backdrop or the Club’s 18th fairway,” says Regan. “Venue opportunities include The Clubhouse, The Fireplace Room, The Terrace and Lawn, The Dining Room, The Tee Room, and Beach Club, offering unique spaces that seat 24 to 250 guests comfortably. Complete wedding packages include tables, linens, tableware, dance floor, candles, plus coordination of wedding rehearsal, ceremony, and reception by a catering event professional.”

“When you become a member of The Golf Club of Amelia Island, you enjoy full privileges at our oceanside private Beach Club, with its swimming pool, sun deck, bar and grill, and convenient access to the beach,” says Regan. “Our members can relax poolside or enjoy the family activities. There are also two lighted tennis courts, and a fitness center.”

Coming in October, The Golf Club of Amelia Island will host a Fall Festival for its members and their guests, and a special Shoppers Market in November, featuring holiday gifts and crafts. For latest updates or
