The Amelia Island Book Festival’s Celebrity Author Luncheon will feature Kristin Harmel on October 27 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Kristin Harmel is the New York Times, USA Today, and #1 international bestselling author of The Book of Lost Names, The Winemaker’s Wife, and a dozen other novels that have been translated into twenty-eight languages. A former reporter for People Magazine, her favorite stories were the “Heroes Among Us” features—tales of ordinary people doing extraordinary things. She is also the cofounder and cohost of the popular web series, Friends and Fiction. She lives in Orlando, Florida, and has been writing professionally since the age of 16, when she began her career as a sportswriter, covering Major League Baseball and NHL hockey for a local magazine in Tampa Bay, Florida in the late 1990s.
She visits Amelia Island with the 10th Anniversary Edition of The Sweetness of Forgetting. The “beautifully complex” (Woman’s Day) classic that made Kristin Harmel a superstar follows a woman who must travel from Cape Cod to Paris to uncover a family secret for her dying grandmother that could change everything.
The luncheon will be held at the Courtyard by Marriott. For tickets visit www.ameliaislandbookfestival.org.
