Dr. Patti Shelly-Lohman and her husband, Terry, opened Amelia Audiology in Fernandina Beach in 2000. The two are excited to announce that their grandson, Alex Barnard, who will receive his doctorate of audiology from the University of South Florida in May, will join their practice. Dr. Shelly-Lohman, who earned her doctor of audiology degree from Arizona School of Health Sciences, is board-certified by the American Board of Audiology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. Terry is a licensed Audiology Assistant.

Amelia Audiology provides comprehensive diagnostic hearing evaluations for patients of all ages. After a thorough evaluation, Dr. Shelly-Lohman will discuss the test results with you and provide you with recommendations about amplification and protection. “We provide hearing instruments from all major hearing aid manufacturers. We offer a new generation of hearing aids; patients tell us they have not heard this well in years. We also provide cleaning and repair service for all makes and models of hearing aids,’ says Dr. Shelly-Lohman.

Amelia Audiology offers custom swim plugs, custom hearing protection (for work, sports, and entertainment), and custom communication ear molds. They also have extensive experience with pediatric and difficult-to-test children. Patti says she and Terry love working together, and after more than 35 years of marriage, “we make a pretty good team.” The office is located at 1411 South 14th Street, Suite F.
