On February 21 and 22, Amelia Island Quilt Guild presents its biennial show, called “Quilts by the Sea.” The show features over 200 beautifully displayed quilts created by guild members, along with technique demonstrations, quilt and craft boutique items, merchant mall, silent auction, and door prizes.
The Amelia Island Quilt Guild, a non-profit 501 (C) (3) organization, was established in November 1989, with thirty members. Their current membership consists of 100+ members. The goal of the guild is to promote quilting and educate the public about the craft of quilting. Membership is open to the public and available upon receipt of annual membership dues of thirty dollars. Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month unless otherwise announced.
Quilts by the Sea is held at the Atlantic Recreation Center, 2500 Atlantic Avenue, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days; admission is $10 and parking is free. For more information visit http://www.aiquilters.com/2020show/show/
