Amelia Community Theatre’s Teen Theatre Troupe, ACTeen, invites the public to join them for their fundraiser, “Monologues and Melodies, NYC or Bust!” on February 24 at 7:30 p.m. Troupe members will perform monologues and melodies along with some special adult guest performers, Lee Hamby, JonathanLeonard, Marcus Rau, Julie Harrington, Jennifer Paulk and Erin Gawera, all of whom have performed in ACT main stage musicals.

Tickets ($40) include a reception in the main stage lobby prior to the performance featuring New York City delicacies, along with prizes, and the newly formed singing group, “Off the Record” from Jacksonville. Funds raised will help each teen pay for a portion of their trip to NYC. ACTeen is a free youth theatre program created by ACT to help supplement the arts in the community for youth, ages 13 to seniors in high school. ACTeen is dedicated to teaching teens how to be well-rounded theatre people and offering them the opportunity to not only perform but experience and learn.

Doors open at 6 p.m. for the reception and 7 p.m. for seating. Purchase tickets by calling the ACT box office at (904)261-6749 or ACT is located at 209 Cedar Street.
