Baptist Medical Center Nassau Receives an “A” for Patient Safety

Jun 14, 2017 02:00AM
Baptist Nassau has received an “A” safety grade from the Leapfrog Group for its commitment to reducing errors, infections, and accidents that can harm patients. Baptist Nassau was one of 823 hospitals out of more than 2,600 to receive an A rating.

“This honor shows our strong commitment to patient safety and providing the highest quality medical care possible,” said hospital President Ed Hubel. “Our Baptist Nassau team members and physicians continually go the extra mile to treat patients as they would their own family members. It is because of this dedicated team of professionals that we received our A rating and our continual goal is to perform at the highest level at all times. This is my commitment to our patients and the community we serve.”

“Hospitals that earn top marks nationally in the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade have achieved the highest safety standards in the country,” said Leah Binder, president and CEO of The Leapfrog Group. “That takes commitment from every member of the hospital staff, all whom deserve thanks and congratulations when their hospitals achieve an A Safety Grade.”
