The Amelia Island Museum of History invites you to its next 3rd on 3rd St presentation, on Friday, June 16th at 6 pm. Our special guest will be Lieutenant Commander Rob Crosby, author of Only in America: My Journey from Hot Coffee-Scrambled Eggs-Nuclear Submarines. This inspiring new book profiles Crosby’s journey from impoverished youth in Mississippi to Navy Nuclear Engineer. Originally a Navy cook, an NROTC scholarship helped Crosby pursue a degree in Chemical Engineering. From there he attended Nuclear Power School, becoming an officer, and eventually earning his MBA in Financial Management and a Masters in National Security and Strategic Studies. Lt. Cdr. Crosby will discuss his remarkable story, which demonstrates that with the right attitude and work ethic, no dream is out of reach. This program is free for museum members with a suggested donation of $5 for non-members. Seating is first-come/first-served.
