9th Annual Animal Expo

Mar 20, 2017 02:00AM
The 9th Annual Animal Expo will be held on Saturday, March 25 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Atlantic Recreation Center, 2500 Atlantic Avenue. Along with a bake sale and silent auction, the Animal Expo is the leading fundraising event hosted by Cats Angels, Inc., SPCA.

Cats Angels was formed in June 2001 to help with the overpopulation of unwanted felines in the Fernandina Beach area of Nassau County, FL. An aggressive TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) program was started that allows the spaying and neutering of feral cats and returning them to their caregivers. Cats Angels is an all volunteer, non-profit, 501(c)3 charitable organization and receives no government funding of any kind. All of their monies are acquired through donations, grants, and fundraising efforts.

The Animal Expo brings awareness to various rescue groups in the area and allows guests to visit with animals in need of a permanent home. For more information call (904)321-2267.
