Distillers Dinner at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation

Kick off the 2017 Amelia Island Restaurant Week with the Distillers Dinner at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation on January 19th, 2017 at 6 p.m. A playful reflection of clear, blonde and brown spirits –Executive Chef Daven Wardynski and his culinary team highlight the distillation process of each spirit and how it relates to flavors of our island in the winter. This four-course dinner will focus on Vodka, Gin, Whiskey, and Rum, each mindfully paired with a cocktail. Tickets are $100 per person and space is limited.

Vodka Composed primarily of water and ethanol thru the distillation process of fermented cereal grains or potato scallop + sweet potato + bok choy + ginger + apple + horseradish

Gin Evolving from an herbal medicine to a juniper based clear grain spirit that is then redistilled with variety botanicals green hill + meyer lemon + cucumber + blueberry + hay

Whiskey This barrel aged distilled grain spirit mellows with a slow aging to result in a brown clear spirit with undertones of the barrel wood of choice wild pork + brown sugar + fish sauce + black cherry + coppa

Rum A distilled sugar cane based clear spirit that is aged in oak barrels that often times result in vanilla or spice flavor notes foie gras + angelica + waffle + calamondin + burnt bark
