Nassau Community Band Celebrates 14th Season

This fall the Nassau Community Band have begun their 14th concert season. The band is honored to retain renowned musician, conductor, and Professor Dr. Marc Dickman as Director. Dr. Dickman is a founding faculty member of the acclaimed Jazz Studies program at the University of North Florida. His recent projects include establishing the "TBA Band"; Northeast Florida's premier modern big band jazz ensemble.

The Nassau Community Band is a multi-generational ensemblecomprised of gifted students, amateurs, music educators and instrumental enthusiasts. The fall membership drive is underway. Woodwind, brass, and percussion players are encouraged to contact the band at www.nassaucommunityband.com or attend rehearsal. Weekly Thursday night rehearsals began September 1st at 6 p.m. in the band room at Yulee Middle School (85439 Miner Road).
