ACT forms imrov comedy troupe

Sep 01, 2016 02:00AM
Amelia Community Theatre is forming an improvisational comedy troupe for ages 18 and up, called I.ACT. No experience is necessary and beginners are welcome. The weekly workshops will be held on Saturdays from 3 to 5 p.m. at 209 Cedar Street in ACT’s Studio 209 Theatre. Troupe members will learn common improvisational techniques and interact with one another through games and exercises.

Led by ACT production manager Tener Wade, the troupe will focus on building a positive and trusting atmosphere where members can create funny or serious scenes from audience suggestions. I.ACT will work toward a “Night of Improv” performance in December. There is no charge to attend. For more information call (904) 261-6749.
