The Art of the Japanese Print
Aug 29, 2016 02:00AM
Friends of the Fernandina Beach Library are pleased to announce that there will be an exhibition of contemporary Japanese prints in the new meeting room gallery space from the collection of Christine and Paul Meehan, Amelia Island residents. It’s an opportunity for the Meehans to share a portion of their collection with local residents to enhance the community’s understanding and appreciation of Japanese art. The Meehan collection has been previously exhibited at the Morikami Museum in Delray, Florida, and exemplifies all the major printmaking techniques in use today, including woodblock, intaglio, and others.
There will be a meet-and-greet on September 10 from 10 a.m. to noon at the library, located at 25 North 4th Street.
