Cedar Haven Helps Heal Community

Aug 22, 2016 02:00AM
Cedar Haven opened its doors in March 2001, providing 180-day transitional housing and classes that assist residents in becoming self-sufficient and improving the quality of their lives as they return back to society. The volunteer staff of Cedar Haven consists of professionals from the community who have extensive experience in serving and protecting “at risk” women.

Cedar Haven also provides counseling for domestic violence cases, along with anger management therapy, and parenting. Their self-improvement classes include financial and computer literacy, leadership skills, resume writing, and many more. The facility and services are solely funded and sustained by donations. Donations can be sent to Cedar Haven, 910 South 8th Street, Suite 124, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034. For more information call (904) 699-7477 or visit www.womenofpowerinc.org.
