Children’s Auditions for “I Think I Can” Held August 13

Mrs. Kate Carpenter, local folksinger, songwriter, and storyteller is now accepting applications from vocalists ages 7 to 11 to sing on her 12th CD, “I Think I Can!”Applications will be accepted now through August 6. The auditions will be held on Saturday, August 13.

"Mrs. Kate" Carpenter hails from the town of Callahan, Florida, and travels throughout the Southeast making families smile with her homespun folk music. Accompanying herself on the guitar, this prolific songwriter has recorded 11 original CD's and 2 children's music videos in the past 22 years. She released her newest CD, “Lightning Bug Lullabies” in February of 2015. She performs over 150 shows a year, delighting audiences of all ages. Using catchy tunes, puppetry, unusual instruments, and storytelling, her interaction with the audience is creative and unforgettable. She has inspired students in over 381 schools with her "Motivate with Mrs. Kate" show. Summers find her touring the public library circuit, promoting reading with her "Crack a Book" song.
