The Hope House Needs Donations

Jun 17, 2016 02:00AM
The Salvation Army Hope House, located at 410 South 9th Street, is in need of many donations. During the summer months, many Amelia Island residents head north, and The Hope House pantry begins to dwindle. Some of the items they need include peanut butter and jelly, canned fruit, “Helper” meals, macaroni and cheese, spaghetti sauce, noodles of all types, stuffing, instant potatoes, condensed soups, pork and beans, baked beans, black beans, baby and adult diapers, and powdered laundry detergent.

The Salvation Army Hope House is dedicated to restoring those in need to a place of productivity and self-sufficiency- values that are necessary for a community to grow and prosper. The Hope House is operated under the leadership of Mary Moore, a longtime Nassau County resident, with an extensive social services background. Mary invites everyone to drop by and see the facility and learn about ways to become involved as a volunteer or donor.
