Golden Isles Riding Academy

Kelli Jordan began riding horses when she was only five years old, and from a very young age she knew that she wanted to be an equestrian. “I tried all sorts of other activities when I was growing up,” says Kelli. “Dance, sports, cheerleading, but nothing stuck. It was all about the horses.” She began attending a riding academy, and then eventually an elite summer riding camp in Tampa. She went on to compete at world championships, winning three of them, and received a full scholarship to William Wood University, the number one equestrian school in the country. Hoping to inspire young people to learn to love horses and the sport of riding like she does, Kelli opened Golden Isles Riding Academy in Brunswick, Georgia in March 2012. The academy includes a competition-size riding ring, a smaller riding ring, round pen, custom 12 by 12 matted stalls, two wash racks, farrier station, large customer lounge with kitchen, two large tack rooms, and miles of trails to ride. While Kelli is proud to be the owner, she considers her students the backbone of her business. “Our customers are my family, the horses are my children, and I am fortunate to be involved in a job that I love,” says Kelli. “Our motto at Golden Isles Riding Academy is, ‘Where riding is fun… friendships are made… and memories last forever.’ That’s what I hope my students gain from their time at the barn. Our future is bright!” For more information, call (912) 506-3325 or visit www.goldenislesridingacademy.com.
