Let Freedom Ring Concert

May 02, 2016 02:00AM
“Let Freedom Ring” is an annual Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra concert held on Amelia Island to kick off Memorial Day weekend. The musical program will feature well-known patriotic songs including the famous 1812 Overture by Tchaikovsky, and is brought to Amelia Island by ARIAS (Amelia Residents In Action for the Symphony). The concert will be held at First Baptist Church, 1600 South 8th Street in Fernandina Beach, on Thursday, May 26 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults and free for children 12 and under, an affordable price for a concert by an orchestra of the JSO’s stature. Parents are encouraged to take advantage of this family musical opportunity.

ARIAS engages the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra to perform on Amelia Island, encourages residents of Nassau County to attend JSO concerts, and brings music education to students in Nassau county. The group has a membership of over 400 and is also sponsored by gracious donors.

Advance tickets to Let Freedom Ring are available at The Chamber of Commerce, The Book Loft, Front and Centre, The Golf Club of Amelia Island, and the Fernandina Beach Golf Club. Tickets will also be available at the door beginning at 6:30 p.m. For information call (904) 321-4174.
