8 Flags Playscapes Breaks Ground at Egans Creek Park

Community leaders, supporters, and business owners gathered at Egans Creek Park to break ground on a historic redevelopment of the area. With fundraising efforts reaching 85% of their goal, the new Egans Creek Park will be a multi-recreational space that will offer an accessible kayak launch, fishing dock and pavilion, quarter mile fitness path with exercise stations, bird watching platform, restrooms, community pavilion, new parking area, multi-purpose field, and future play elements. Benjamin Morrison of Cotner Associates, Inc. Architects created the final design for the Park, and Parker Contracting will be acting as the general contractor for the redevelopment, as well as providing a large amount of the labor necessary to construct the new restroom facilities and public pavilions. RPM Lumber, Coastal Current Electric, Bill Ross Plumbing, Myers Tractor Service, Coastal Landscapes, Nitelites, Burt Wright Construction, and Manzie and Drake Land Surveyors are also contributing materials and labor.
