Pearl, A Luxury Resort Boutique

Lori and John Lecker are visionaries when it comes to fashion. Having owned Benetton stores all over the Southeast, they have made designer clothing their lifelong careers. Two years ago, the couple opened lori+lulu, a highly successful women’s clothing boutique in downtown Fernandina Beach, but the size of the store made it impossible to expand. “We saw a void in the market here for Southern prep clothing,” says Lori. “And since we couldn’t enlarge our store, we decided to open another one—Pearl, A Luxury Resort Boutique.” Besides specializing in high-end resort wear for women, Pearl also carries swimwear, lingerie, and jewelry. “John and I love discussing our business and developing new concepts,” says Lori. “Pearl is turning out to be exactly what we had envisioned—from the look of the building to the designer brands we carry. For instance, we don’t just feature a few items from a designer, we carry the full collection and merchandise it collectively, the way the designer envisioned it.” These designers include Lily Pulitzer, Gretchen Scott, Trina Turk, Karla Colleto, Camilla, Tasha London, and Tory Burch, available in Spring 2016. “Our clients are very fashion-forward,” says Lori. “They know these designers, and they are pleased to discover they can get the fashions they want right here on Amelia Island.” “We love downtown Fernandina Beach,” says Lori. “With Pearl, and lori+lulu, we are excited to be part of that transformation.” Pearl is located at 205 Centre Street.
