Nov 25, 2015 02:00AM
For the first time in six years, Les DeMerle and Bonnie Eisele are spending the holidays on their own Amelia Island, jazzin’ up Christmas and New Year’s Eve with three performance nights, featuring two shows each night, held at Horizons Restaurant. The Jazz Spirit of Christmas Holiday Dinner and Show will be held on December 18 and 19, with seatings at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. Join Les and Bonnie performing holiday classics from their award-winning CD on Origin Records, “The Jazz Spirit of Christmas”, in an intimate setting with Chef Courtney Thompson’s three-course gourmet dinner and wine.

“Our Christmas CD project has been a dream come true for my beautiful wife and me,” says DeMerle. “We are thrilled to share these exciting, fresh concepts in creative arrangements of holiday classics with our Amelia Island friends. We hope “The Jazz Spirit of Christmas” will find its place in your heart and the hearts you love during this meaningful season.”

On New Year’s Eve, seatings are at 7 and 9 p.m., and performances include music from the couple’s CD, “Feelin’ Good”, also on Origin Records. The Les DeMerle Trio features Les DeMerle, drums and vocals, Bonnie Eisele, vocals and percussion, Scott Giddens, keyboards, and special guests. “We’re so excited to be back on Amelia Island,” says DeMerle. “We want to welcome all of our friends into the New Year with music and style. “Feelin’ Good” is Bonnie’s and my 13th CD together. This project documented our silver wedding anniversary celebrating 25 years of love, jazz, and our amazing travels together. We look forward to spending New Year’s Eve with our Amelia Island friends. Along with Chef Courtney’s incredible food, we hope everyone will be ‘feelin’ good’ right along with us!” To make reservations call (904) 321-2430. Horizons is located at 5272 First Coast Highway.
