Elizabeth Babor in Concert

On Friday, October 23 at 7 p.m., St. Peter’s Episcopal Church presents a piano concert featuring Elizabeth Babor, daughter of parishioners Jerry and Mary Lynn Torchia. Babor is a professional pianist who currently resides in California. She is a graduate of the North Carolina School of the Arts, and received her Masters Degree in piano at the Cleveland Institute of Case Western Reserve University. She has taught piano at The Pasadena Conservatory, Pasadena, California, for the past 21 years, and has performed around the Los Angeles area over the years. She is married to James Babor, percussionist with the L.A. Philharmonic, and they have a 14-year-old son, Matthew. Her program will consist of music by Chopin, Mozart, Scarlatti as well as Scott Joplin and Billy Joel.

A free will offering is welcomed. The concert is approximately one hour long. St. Peter’s Episcopal Church is located at 801 Atlantic Avenue. For more information call the parish office at (904) 261-4293.
