Redfish Spot Tournament

The Redfish Spot Tournament is hosted by the Amelia Island Guides Association. The Captains’meeting will be held Friday September 18 at the Amelia Island Yacht Basin at 6 p.m. Along with live music and a silent auction, raffle prizes can be won, and the public is invited. The fishing tournament will be held Saturday, September 19. All entry money will be awarded in prizes. Catch a legal Redfish with the most spots and win! Cost is $40. Amelia Island Guides Association is a group and charter boat operators who have joined together to promote the charter fishing industry and outdoor activities on Amelia Island by building relationships with tourism, lodging and other local business entities and through cooperative advertising. They have combined their efforts to present a unified voice concerning local, state and federal rules, laws and pending legislation that affects the guide industry on Amelia Island.

AIGA promotes professional standards, a code of ethics among its members and safe-boating standards set forth by the US Coast Guard. All members are encouraged to observe good conservation practices and to help educate the public about fishing and outdoor activities on Amelia Island. As a non-profit 501(c)(6) organization, all of its earnings must be reinvested into the organization and may not benefit any individual member or share holder.
