Cucumber Lemon Water a Healthy Summer Drink

Jul 17, 2015 02:00AM
Just about the best thing you can drink to quench your thirst is water, right? Certainly we should all be drinking lots of water, especially during the summer months, but by adding cucumbers and lemons you can make your plain water into a vitamin enriched hot weather beverage without those extra calories and sugar found in traditional sports drinks.

Fill a large glass jar of pitcher with filtered water or spring water, and then add 1 sliced cucumber and 2 sliced lemons. Add a large pinch of sea salt, stir thoroughly, and put into the refrigerator. Cucumber Lemon Water is best if you let it sit for about 24 hours but be sure to drink within 2 or 3 days. Drink before and after your hot weather activities.
