You don't want to miss meeting the fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill as he cons the people of River City, Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a boy's band he vows to organize - despite the fact he doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen. Come join the townspeople of River City in this wonderful slice of Americana as they perform such hummable tunes as "Seventy-Six Trombones," "Gary, Indiana," "Wells Fargo Wagon," "Ya Got Trouble" and "Till There Was You."

Presented by Nassau Community Players, the production is a fundraiser for Community in Schools. Performances are going on now and held through June 26.
