Fox on the Fairway at Amelia Community Theatre

Jun 15, 2015 02:00AM
Fox on the Fairway is now in progress at Amelia Community Theatre, a play by Ken Ludwig and directed by David Longobardo. The Lend Me a Tenor playwright sets this modern-day farce at a country club during a golf tournament between clubs with a longstanding bitter rivalry. Besides golf, there are “three love affairs, a missing diamond, objectionable golf sweaters, and an exploding vase” in this fast-paced comedy. The play runs through June 27, and includes a special Father’s Day performance on Sunday, June 21 at 2 p.m., with complimentary Arnold Palmers to quench your thirst.

Stop by the ACT lobby putting green for a chance to win a round of golf for your favorite foursome. Work on your swing pre-show at the hitting station outside; representatives from the Fernandina Beach Golf Club (FBGC) will be on hand. There will be prizes at each performance and everyone gets a gift bag, compliments of ACT and FBGC. Lobby doors open one hour before curtain. Wear your wildest and craziest golfing attire to the matinee on Father's Day. Dress for golfing success and you may win a round of golf for four!
