It's a Pajama Party!

If you're reading this blog on Friday morning, you might be missing a pajama party! Are you still in your pajamas? No need to get dressed in street clothes today -the Historic Fernandina Business Association is hosting its Annual PJ Party & Costume Contest in downtown Fernandina Beach this morning!

The downtown merchants will offer special discounts and refreshments for shoppers in their pajamas from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday, November 28, the day after Thanksgiving. There will be entertainment, a costume contest and new this year, the South Second Street Block party.

Event highlights include: live music near the Amelia Island Convention & Visitors Bureau at 102 Centre St., a photo backdrop in the pocket park where you can take pictures and post on social media, and strolling carolers and Santa to get you in the holiday spirit. Party with Pajama Dave & Friends at the South Second Street Block Party with live music, a dunk tank, face painting and more.

Sign up at the Convention & Visitors Bureau for the PJ contest at 11 a.m. Prizes will be awarded for group and individual best dressed and most creative individual.
