When Ange and Jim Wallace opened The Travel Agency in 1974, they had a phone, a typewriter, and a brochure rack. Forty years later, the rebranded Wallace Pierson Travel has morphed into a staff of 6 full-time travel advisors specializing in luxury and authentic travel experiences, including premium luxury tours and cruises, safaris, expedition cruising, active travel, customized travel itineraries, and resort vacations. Wallace Pierson Travel has been a member of the prestigious Virtuoso luxury travel network since 1996. Wallace Pierson Travel is a family affair. Daughter Angela grew up around the office. At three years old, she would sit at a desk and pretend to talk with clients. Now, Angela’s daughters, Ella and Emmie, play travel advisor at the office and at home they pack for pretend trips and plan meetings with clients. Next summer, at ages 3 and 5, Emmie and Ella will lead a group to the Galapagos aboard the National Geographic Endeavor. Wallace Pierson Travel has an amazing staff of longtime travel advisors. Lynann Mullis, Tracy Lynch, and Debbie Kellogg round out the advisory staff. Dawn Dixon and Mike Dionne are valuable support staff. Vicki Carter keeps the back office efficient. “At Wallace Pierson Travel, we do not sell travel,” says Ange. “We educate and advise savvy travelers.” Meet the team at their Luxury Travel Show at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island on Saturday, November 8.
