The Amelia Island Museum of History invites you to attend the opening of its newest exhibition, “It Came From the Attic: The Collections Exhibit.” The opening reception will be held on September 12 at 6 p.m. and features an assortment of private collections provided by museum members, volunteers, and staff. The act of collecting goes back to the earliest periods of humane culture and has important sociological connotations. The things we choose to fill our homes with say a great deal about who we are and what we value.
Several of the collectors and donors will discuss their collections, followed by the reception and unveiling of the new exhibit. The program is open to the public with a suggested donation of $5 for members and $10 for non-members. For more information contact Gray at (904) 261-7378, ext. 102.
