Nassau Bird Club Trips

Aug 20, 2014 05:42AM
The Nassau Bird Club offers birding tours every month beginning in September, planned by Carol Wyatt. Each month participants meet at different locations to view local and migratory species. Their schedule for the upcoming year is as follows:

September 13, 2014: Huguenot Park for fall migration October: No planned walk, as Wyatt will be out of town. She suggests birding on your own, listening to bird chatter and trying to identify the bird by its call and song. November 15, 2014: Egan’s Creek Greenway or North Beach access December 2014: The National Audubon Society’s 114th Christmas Bird Count January 17, 2015: Huguenot Park February 7, 2015: Fort Clinch Fishing Pier – this date is a Sunday and time is 11 a.m. March 21, 2015: Little Talbot Island State Park April 25, 2015: Amelia Island Plantation May 9, 2015: Egan’s Creek Greenway

Trips are generally on Saturday at 8 a.m. except for the February trip, which is on Sunday at 11 a.m. All of the dates and times are subject to change because of tides. Directions and instructions will be available before each trip. For more information call Carol Wyatt at (904) 261-9272 or email her at [email protected]
