Recreation on Amelia Island Exhibit

Through September, the Amelia Island Museum of History is featuring a special exhibit, “Recreation on Amelia Island Through the Years.” The exhibition celebrates the various sport and leisure activities enjoyed by Amelia Island’s residents and tourists.  “Recreation on Amelia Island Through the Years” explores the role of the beach and water sports in Fernandina’s development, and highlights the ways that people have enjoyed themselves and passed the time on Amelia Island, including profiles on baseball, golf, and tennis. The museum is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday 1 to 4 p.m. For more information about this and other exhibits call (904) 261-7378 or visit www.ameliamuseum.org.
