Take Stock Graduates

Jun 02, 2014 02:00AM
Take Stock in Children Nassau celebrated its 18th Annual Graduation Celebration on Tuesday, April 22, in the Yulee High School Auditorium. This year, 42 high school seniors were presented with their Florida Prepaid College Scholarship because they had fulfilled the requirements of the Take Stock program. Each of the students had maintained a 2.5 GPA or higher, attended school regularly, and met with their mentors on a weekly basis. Because of this, they have all been awarded a four-year Florida Prepaid College Scholarship which they can use to attend any Florida University.

Kellie Boston of Boston Photography donated her time and expertise to provide professional photos for all of the Take Stock students. Chef Castleberry and his culinary arts class provided refreshments following the reception. “We are so grateful to Publix Bakery (Yulee), Kohl's (Yulee) and the "Kohl's Cares" program, Yulee High School, and the Nassau County School Board for all of their help in making this event such a success,” said Deanna Gartenbush, Director of Marketing and Development for Take Stock in Children Nassau.
