10th Annual Saint Michael Academy Golf Classic Honors Jack Crowley

May 14, 2014 07:32AM
On May 23, kick off your Memorial Day weekend with St. Michael Academy Golf Classic, honoring Jack Crowley. Crowley retired to Amelia Island Plantation in 1995, where he golfed five days a week at Long Point with the men, or in couples tournaments with his wife of 60 years, Bina.  Jack's retirement hobby of making custom golf clubs for his large family extended to many children at St Michael's Academy, allowing the children to be introduced to the game of golf.  “We are honored that this year's tournament is dedicated in his honor,” says his daughter, Marianne Crowley. “Jack was very active in filling the field of golfers for the first nine years of the St. Michael Academy Golf Classic.”

The event begins at The Amelia Island Club Long Point golf course, with lunch from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Shot gun tee time start is at 12:30 p.m. After the tournament, an evening reception will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Price is $150 for golfers, which includes lunch, golf, and reception. Non-golfers are welcome to join the reception for $50. Register online at www.stmichels-academy.org, or call the Academy at (904) 321-2102, or email [email protected]
