How to Give Legendary Service

Great customer service and the positive word-of-mouth it generates has always been critical to business success. In our digital age, where every customer has the ability to easily share their experiences, good or bad, via social media, every employee who deals with customers more potential than ever to significantly help or hurt your business. Find out “How to Give Legendary Service” during the Amelia Island-Fernandina Beach-Yulee Chamber of Commerce’s annual customer service seminar, presented by the Amelia Island Tourist Development Council and hosted by Residence Inn Amelia Island. The seminar will be held on Wednesday, May 14 at the Residence Inn Amelia Island, 2301 Sadler Road.

Presenter will be Michelle Heatherly, director of client engagement at Axia Public Relations, who will give your employees an overview of the impact both positive and negative word-of-mouth can have on your business and why their interactions with customers are vital to your success. Attendees will learn how to engage with people in a positive way to ensure happy, repeat customers who are eager to tell others about your company.

Heatherly is a public relations and marketing communications professional with 16 years of customer service experience within the health/wellness and food/beverage/entertainment/hospitality industries and is an expert at translating the art and science of public relations into the language of industry. In her role as director of Client Engagement at Axia, she coordinates new clients into the public relations agency and ensures that they have an exceptional experience with Axia. She engages, retains, develops and manages new and existing client relationships through impeccable customer service and results.

Two identical presentations will be offered on May 14 allowing businesses to send half their staff in the morning and half in the afternoon. Discounted admission is available to every company that sends two more employees. AIFBY Chamber members who send employees to the event will have a “Customer Service Commitment” designation attached to their listing in the Chamber’s online business directory. Session One will be 9 a.m. to noon; Session Two will be 1 to 4 p.m. Seating is limited to 60 per session.

Discounted admission through Friday, May 9, is $49 per person. That drops to only $40 per person for companies that send two or more employees. Regular admission is $65 per person or $60 per person for two or more employees from the same company. Payment must be received in full by noon May 13.
