If you’ve thought about becoming a cook or just trying to improve your cooking skills, Chef Bill Castleberry will help you reach your goals in 600 hours. Registration is now open for the Commercial Food and Culinary Arts Workforce Certificate offered at the Betty P. Cook Nassau Center. The 600 hour, two course program prepares individuals for employment in the culinary and hospitality fields. Food Preparation, the first 300 hour training class, begins January 13, and meets Monday through Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. Fee is $942 plus a uniform. Textbook and knives are provided for use in the class. The second class, Restaurant Cook, will be offered in the summer term, which starts in May.
