If you’re a wine lover, two upcoming events are sure to quench your grape-loving palate! On November 16, St. Michael’s Academy will hold their 5th Annual Wine Tasting Gala at Omni Amelia Island Plantation. Festivities include a wine and craft beer tasting, 3-course seated dinner, silent auction, live music, dancing, and raffle.

Dinner includes an Autumn Green Salad, choice of Sous-Vide Pork Loin, New York Strip with Cabernet Sauce, Sautéed Chicken Breast Wild Mushroom Ragout, or Vegetarian with Butternut Squash, Parsnips, and Brussels Sprouts, and for dessert, Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Icing. Premium wines and craft beers will be available for purchase. Tickets start at $100 per person. To purchase tickets or for more information visit www.stmichaels-academy.org.

On November 23 at 5 p.m., Join Donna Deegan for the Inaugural 26.2 with Donna Wine Tasting. Held at the Golf Club of Amelia Island, you can taste 20 wines from select vineyards while enjoying heavy hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction.

For more than 20 years, Northeast Florida has known native Donna Deegan as the nightly news anchor of First Coast News. Today, as a three-time survivor of breast cancer and mother of two, she is an inspiration within the movement to finish breast cancer, due in large part to her personal emphasis upon facing challenges with an attitude of love rather than fear. In 2003, she founded The Donna Foundation to help breast cancer patients in North East Florida meet their most critical needs by providing them with emotional, social and financial support.

Tickets for the Donna Wine Tasting are also $100, with a limit of 100 tickets. Tickets can be purchased at www.breastcancermarathon.com/wine
