An Evening with the Masters

There’s always something exciting going on at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island, and more often than not it involves the culinary delights of Salt Chef de Cuisine, Rick Laughlin. But Chef Laughlin plans to share the stage with other gastronomic masters on September 19, when he invites former Salt Chef Scott Crawford, and Master Sommelier, Eric Hemer, to step up to the plate for a special Summer Winemaker Dinner.

Crawford, Chef de Cuisine at Herons Five Star Restaurant at the Umstead Inn in North Carolina, will prepare Smoked Beef Belly. Hemer has selected rare wines from renowned European estates, and will present a program about the wines, which will be for sale after the event.

The evening begins at 6 p.m., with champagne and hors d’oeuvres in the lounge; dinner begins at 6:45 p.m. The cost is $165 per person, plus tax and gratuity. For more information or to make reservations call (904) 277-1100.
