Jul 17, 2013 02:00AM
Was it Colonel Mustard in the library with a candlestick? Not at this “Murder in Fernandina” Mystery Dinner, featuring a local story about a modern murder mystery in Fernandina Beach that ties into the city’s history of pirates and buried treasure. A murder took place in Fernandina, and you will get to figure out who done it, while dining at David’s Restaurant & Lounge on Thursday, August 8. David’s will be serving a three course dinner and house wine, while a winner’s name pulled from the wine bucket will receive a $200 gift card to dine at David’s the next time you visit the restaurant, if you yourself are not murdered! Meet author Amelia Clinch, of Murder in Fernandina, and have her sign the book as a token gift from David’s to you.

Actors will surround you in three separate acts, while you enjoy dinner, offering two seatings at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. The event is rated PG 13, suitable for teens and adults. On the menu for the evening: Garden Salad with Raspberry Vinaigrette, Twin 3 oz. Petite Filet Mignon with Mushroom Risotto, Roasted Cornish Hen with Jasmine Rice with Grilled Vegetables, or Shrimp Scampi over Linguini. And for dessert, a classic NY Cheesecake or Chocolate Torte.
