Jun 14, 2013 02:00AM
The Amelia Island Museum of History offers a presentation on the third Friday of the month, based on a variety of different topics related to the history of the island. The event takes place in Baker Hall in the museum, located at 233 South 3rd Street in downtown Fernandina Beach.

This month’s presentation is to be held on Friday, June 21 at 6 p.m. The Amelia Island Museum of History, in association with the Amelia Island Genealogical society, invites you to join them as local historian Marie Santry gives a lecture on Minorcans in Florida. She will discuss their journey from the small island of Minorca, off the coast of Spain, to the US, and their impact on Florida as we know it today. This program is free for members with a suggested donation of $5 for nonmembers. For more information contact Gray at 261-7378 ext 102, or visit www.ameliamuseum.org
