Amelia's Attic Celebrates 20 Years in Business

May 01, 2013 07:20AM
Sylvia Gedeon started Amelia’s Attic, a family owned and operated furniture store, 20 years ago. Her vision was to create a local marketplace for people to buy and sell gently used home furnishings. The store creates a win/win atmosphere as the old adage is so true, that "one man's trash is another's treasure". Sylvia's Mother, Vickie Poole, was always involved at the store while she was alive - many customers still ask about her.

Today the store is operated by the mother and daughter team, Sylvia and Jennifer, along with Leslie and Deb as talented and helpful sales associates. Amelia's Attic was the first store of its kind in Fernandina, and has grown over the years to offer a complete selection of coastal, casual furniture, both new and consignment pieces.

The inventory is exciting since it is truly ever-changing. Many customers browse the store once per week to check out unique new arrivals. Amelia's Attic now offers the services of Deb Mischley, a local certified interior decorator to assist customers with home, design, re-design, and real estate staging. Visit Amelia’s Attic and congratulates them on their 20 years in business! They are located at 2164 Sadler Road, and open Monday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. For more information, call (904) 277-2095, or visit their web site at www.amelias-attic.com.
