Family Easter Events at the Plantation

If you haven’t figured out what to do with your kids this weekend, don’t despair, because the Omni Amelia Island Plantation has it all planned out for you. Easter festivities begin on March 29 with a Boardwalk Bash from 5 to 8 p.m. at Marche Burette, with food and drink specials, live music, and kid's activities including tennis, yard games, Easter egg coloring, and visits from the Easter Bunny and Tanner the Turtle. A complimentary family friendly Movie Under the Stars is at 8 p.m. at Canopy Park.

March 30 begins with the Bunny Hop 5K, benefiting the American Cancer Society at Racquet Park at 8 a.m., with a kid’s fun run shortly after. An Easter Parade will travel throughout the property at 10 a.m., and end in The Shops of Amelia Island Plantation where The Kazoobie Kazoo Show begins at 11 a.m. The Easter Bunny will visit with children in the shopping village from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Easter Carnival is also open to the public and begins at noon in Canopy Park featuring pictures with the Easter Bunny or Tanner the Turtle, a bounce house, and crafts. Locals can wrap up their evening with a traditional shrimp boil dinner at Marche Burette from 5 to 8 p.m.

Easter Sunday begins with an Easter egg hunt at The Shops at 8 a.m. An Easter Brunch will be held from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Sunrise Cafe. Call 1-800-The-Omni or visit www.omniameliaislandplantation.com.
