To submit your photos to AmeliaIslander.com, follow the instructions below.

* Send your email to photos@ameliaislander.com.
* Please put "Photo Submission" as the subject.
* Add your photos as attachments, making sure not to exceed individual photo size of 3MB.
* Submit only one photo per email.
* If people are in the images, please be sure you have their permission to submit the image.
* Please include all names (first and last) of everyone in the photos.
* The body of your email will be the caption for your photos. Include a compelling one-sentence description of your event and what is happening in the photo. * Include any photographer credits in the e-mail body/caption.

Send us your photos of...

* local events, gatherings, or personal outings that you think would be of interest to a broad range of viewers
* landscapes, sunsets, local landmarks, wildlife

Do not send...

* general family or vacation photos.
* photos that you do not own or did not take.
* photos of artwork you do not have copyright to.

A few tips...

* Use the best quality setting you have available, and reduce the image size later.
* Aim the camera directly at your subject's face (or the main focal point if not a person), hold the shutter button halfway to focus, then recomposed the shot.
* Get all of the people in the photo as close as comfortably possible.
* Limit groups to no more than 5 people, if possible.
* Take more than one photo of each group and choose the best to send.

All submitted photos remain the property of the individual contributor. By submitting your images, you agree that you hold the absolute copyright to the images, and do not hold AmeliaIslander.com and Sweetpea Media, Inc liable for any loss or damages resulting from your submission(s). AmeliaIslander.com will not use any submitted images in any other format without the express written permission of the individual contributor/photographer. We reserve the right to not publish any submitted photos we deem inappropriate.
