Join the Amelia Island Chamber Music Festival for a free family concert on Monday, March 11 from 3 to 4 p.m. featuring Phillip Pan and his Viper Violin. Pan was concertmaster of the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra for 33 years before retiring in 2017. Mr. Pan performs on his seven-string electric Viper violin at clubs and events throughout Jacksonville. Writing about his Viper, he says, “I was attracted to the Viper by its stunning appearance, enormous range and great sound. I am especially impressed at how my Viper reacts precisely to the finest manipulations of the bow, with a tonal palette broader than that of any violin I have played, including Cremona’s best!”
The concert will be held at Roberts Learning & Achievement Center at 942259 Old Nassau Road. For more information and other concerts in the series visit www.ameliachambermusic.org.
