Join the General Duncan Lamont Clinch Historical Society’s January meeting to hear a talk by Mr. Jack Heard, the current owner of the Palmer House. Heard is a local resident, businessman, and historian, and will give a presentation on one of the most historical buildings in Fernandina. Find out more about Dr. John Denham Palmer and his work during the yellow fever epidemic of the late 1880’s, plus learn the history of the house and stories of life in early Fernandina.
