After a 20-year career in vascular and general surgery, Dr. Gabor Kovacs and his wife, Lisa, moved from New Jersey to Alma, Georgia, where he was Chief of Surgery at Bacon County Hospital for seven years. But when they visited friends who had a home in Fernandina Beach, they fell in love with Amelia Island. “We were thinking, ‘where shall we go next?’” laughs Lisa. “And when we began visiting the island regularly, that’s when we talked about opening a vein care center here.”
There was no vein treatment facility in Fernandina Beach, so they opened the Vein Care Center of Amelia Island in September. “We employ the latest state-of-the-art treatment methods, including the revolutionary VeinGogh technology,” says Dr. Kovacs. “Best of all, the removal of varicose and spider veins can be performed individually or combined to offer you the best results in fewer sessions. Our procedures will vastly improve the way you look and feel.”
“At Vein Care Center of Amelia Island, we work in partnership with our patients to decide on the best treatment options together,” says Lisa. “We want to be a long-term partner in helping you achieve and maintain the look you desire, and that’s why we pledge to provide you all the information needed to make the most informed decision possible at every stage of your time with us.” Vein Care Center is located at 2334 South 8th Street.
