n 2016, Amelia Island residents Lance and Lauren Jones, along with Wes and Tiffany Hinton, embarked on an anniversary trip to Cape Town, South Africa. Upon arrival, they fell in love with the scenery, architecture, color schemes, and the crisp, coastal-chic style around every corner. Enchanted by its beauty, the four friends developed a plan to open a home and hospitality store that would combine Tiffany’s love for interiors and Lance’s love for the gourmet, and Cape House opened its doors at 4810 First Coast Highway in July.
“At Cape House, we have everything that makes a house a home,” says Lance. “In addition to furniture, lighting, rugs, and a design room, we also feature small vignettes throughout the store, making the space feel like you’re walking into someone’s home.” A trip to Cape House is an inspiring experience, with its warm, welcoming atmosphere and attention to detail. The store features Visual Comfort, Jamie Young, Palecek, CR Laine, Imagine Home, and more. The 2,400 square feet store includes a design room, providing convenient access to additional finishes, fabrics, and products to help complete any project.
“It’s great to hear the response from people walking through the door. They’re impressed with the aesthetic and frequently comment that they don’t feel like they have to travel to Jacksonville or Atlanta anymore,” says Lance. Cape House offers a fine selection of gifts for the holidays and special events. For more information, call (904) 844-2389, visit www.shopcapehouse.com or follow @shopcapehouse.
